After twelve magical seasons, the North Pole at the Fair has come to an end.
Our family built the North Pole in 2014 with an unwavering dream to create something special. The fair was incredibly generous. They offered us a building they weren’t using, at an amazing rate, which allowed us to build an untested concept. Reservations sold out every season, and so many of you made it part of your family’s holiday tradition. Thank you.
In 2019, the fair let us know our time in the building would soon end, so we started looking for a new home. Then COVID entered the conversation, paused everyone’s plans, and we found ourselves with five additional great years. Earlier this year, conversations started with the fair. They needed the building, and we agreed it was the right time for the North Pole to end. In August, we moved out.
A lot has changed since 2014: kids have changed, parents have changed, technology has changed, and the economics have changed. The North Pole, as you knew it, simply isn’t sustainable operating seven weeks a year while paying for 14,000 sq. ft. year-round.
We know how much your Santa photos mean to you. For many families, they are a tradition that goes back many years to the place up on the hill, and we feel that responsibility every season, every year. That’s exactly why we didn’t give up.
The North Pole was our first “event” twelve years ago. We have since grown to over 20 events each year all across the state. We produce large celebrity events, anime and gaming events, a horror show and a retro show, multiple toy shows, and even card shows.
In 2027, we are excited to open an esports arena in Puyallup, in a new building leased from the fair, where we hope to create a hub and headquarters for all of the competitive gamers, old and young, in Pierce County.
But we didn’t forget you. We didn’t forget the tradition.
Introducing Santa Portraits of Puyallup. This November and December, we’re transforming our future esports arena into a festive portrait studio dedicated to one thing: your traditional Santa photos.
- The same pictures with the same background
- The same Santa(s)
- The same photographer (and now his son)
- Simple pricing
- AND a brand-new reservation system that’s faster and easier to use
Our beloved North Pole has ended, but many traditions live on. We can’t wait to see you this season.
